SEN. DINO MELAYE CALLS ON THE PRESIDENT TO DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY IN KOGI STATE


Senator Dino Melaye Called on President Muhammadu Buhari, to declare a State of Emergency in State, following a disrupt protest and alleged assassination attempt on his life as he posted on his twitter handle.

Melaye made it clear on the Senate sitting, on Tuesday, when he raised a Point of Order to draw the attention of his colleagues to an incident which happened in Kogi, on Monday, where he allegedly escaped an assassination attempt which he claimed is by the the killer squad of Alhaji Yahaya Bello (GYB).

Similarly, the Senate Also condemned the mayhem which happened in Kogi State.

Speaking on the issue, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu who presided over the day’s legislative business, called on the security agencies to get to root of the problem and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The attack lead to death of a student and several others injured an vehicles damaged.
